Outside of day-to-day work, I like to make art off of the computer. Experimenting and learning is fun, and keeps my brain happy; I love trying new things. There is no fear of a blank page here, I have too many ideas and interests to let that happen.
Finished pieces
Miniature canvas collection
Miniature canvases
These multimedia pieces were a gift; created with acrylic paint, stickers, and artificial flowers on canvas. These were a quick turnaround, and they were really fun to make. The collection was given with a miniature easel, and the recipient can choose which one to display, and change it easily.
Cut paper art original piece
It’s Going To Be A Great Day! art
This multimedia piece was a gift; cut paper on painted watercolor paper. A dear friend bought a house, and I made this as a housewarming present. I chose the bold weight font, traced the letters on printed scrapbook paper, and cut them out. The background watercolor wash is light for the cut paper to stand out. A few more elements around the text added interest and completed the piece. It’s bright, full of pattern and color, and presents an uplifting message; it fit well for my friend. I do plan to create more of these type pieces, it was enjoyable.
Completed wreath
Wreath at the start
Wreath
I saw a crafter on YouTube make this wreath, and thought it would be great for fall. The supplies were inexpensive, and gluing took some time, but the final wreath looked close to the original from the video. I’ve made other wreaths for my home, and take them apart to mix up the materials for something different next time.
